Well the May long weekend is almost upon us, not the official beginning to the summer (or even the beginning of Spring in Newfoundland), but that weekend where that Summer feeling kicks-off. This year looks to be the first I’ll be spending in the city in a long time, opposed to the journey to Snug Harbor, which has happened over the last few May-24s.

This also means the World Cup is near! Much to the chagrin of my sister, I have yet to pick a team to fully get behind… to her chagrin because she’s getting me a team jersey for my birthday, and my birthday was in April. I’ve narrowed it down to (by alphabetical order): Cameroon, France, Netherlands or Spain… or England as a dark horse… yes, Arsenal has representation on all teams.

Calgary and Vancouver were both productive (work wise) and fun (social wise). Looking forward to going out west again, but the next trip will probably be East (if not South, but surely not North).

Congrats to Jacinda and Shane. About time.
