Vive La France!
Monday, July 3rd, 2006I’ve had a number of people – well a small number of people, tell me that they’ve been waiting for me to update this – it’s been quite some time since I have, because now I’m usually quite busy.
Why you may ask? Well I started a new job at the end of May is the main reason. It’s a bus dev / account management job with a company called Givex – they make gift and loyalty cards – like the ones you see in front of every cash register these days. It’s a good gig, learning new things, nice people, downtown, very nice office… and in case my boss is reading this – she was one of the few people who did say they were waiting for me to update this – she’s great too… (I kiss ass with the best of them hey?)
What else… I guess it’s been a month now. On the 7th and 8th I attended both Radiohead shows in Toronto – awesome, amazing… if they kept playing I’d keep going. New songs are really good, some I’d say fantastic.
After that I finally bought a new computer – the new Macbook – White dual 2.0 ghz … blah, blah, blah.. it’s very nice – http://www.apple.com/macbook/
Dad and Joan (my stepmom if you don’t know) came up around mid June for about 5 days, which was really nice, then mom came up for a week after that. Spent a lot of time going out for dinner, etc… no complaints here… it’s always great to see them, unfortunately it’s usually only 3 or 4 times a year.
Oh and the World Cup of course has kept me quite busy when I’m not working. I might win the pool I’m in if the French can pull it off… Vive La France
